USAopoly to release Trivial Pursuit: World of Warcraft Edition

Our friends over at BlizzPlanet have discovered a new addition to the World of Warcraft official merchandise range: World of Warcraft Trivial Pursuit! The guys over at BlizzPlanet were lucky enough to visit the 2013 toys fair in New York to check out the game, but alas the board was not yet ready. They were, however, able to find out that the artwork and all other aspects of the game board are being developed internally by the Blizzard art team.

WoW Insider thinks that this is a fantastic addition. With the popularity of quiz addons in-game and WoW's lengthy past, both in terms of lore and the lifetime of the franchise, this latest addition to the merchandise line has to be a sure-fire success.

Even more excitingly, Blizzplanet reports that "A still undetermined ratio of questions will come directly from fans at some point." So, not only will there be a new way to test out your WoW knowledge with friends, but you can contribute your own question, too. It is not yet clear just how you will go about doing that, but WoW Insider will keep you updated with any new information.

Diablo 3 account rollbacks can no longer revive fallen Hardcore characters

(1)

If you've lost a character to perma death in a game like Dungeons of Dredmor or DayZ, you've felt the confluence of mourning and guilt that follows. But some Diablo 3 players couldn't deal with that grief, apparently, and resorted to faking account compromises in order to get Blizzard to roll their accounts back, resurrecting recently-slain Hardcore mode characters in the process. Who are we to judge how others cope with loss?

Blizzard, understandably, plans to close this loophole by making changes to the way account roll backs work in the upcoming 1.0.7 patch for Diablo 3.

“Hardcore characters were never intended to be revived or undeleted by an account roll back,” a community post on the official forums stated. “Bringing Hardcore characters back to life via roll back really isn't in the spirit of Hardcore (where death is permanent, no matter the circumstances); however, when we originally adapted our roll back services for Diablo III, we didn't have the technology to make Hardcore characters exempt.”

1.0.7 is set to release tomorrow, and is also finally adding PvP to Diablo 3. You can read the latest Test Realm Patch Notes for more.
